INTO and the Newcastle University, UK is offering scholarship opportunities to international students who has interest in undergoing an Undergraduate degree program at the Institution.

This is a tuition-free scholarship program and it will provided to successful applicants.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be International students
  • Applicants must have a minimum English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants seeking admission into the Pre-Degree Programmes must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two sittings, including English Language:
(a) For all the Science-based courses, credit pass in Mathematics and three other science subjects are compulsory.

(b) For all Social Sciences-based courses, credit in Mathematics and at least two Social Science subjects are compulsory.

(c) For all Arts based courses, at least three Arts subjects are compulsory

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION:
A Qualifying Examination will be conducted to select eligible candidates for admission into the Programme.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
a. Only candidates with examination permits issued by the Directorate will be allowed to write the Qualifying Examination

b. All candidates seeking admission into the Pre-Degree Programmes must note that admission into the various Programmes is not automatic

c. Pre-Degree Students are required to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the National minimum UTME cut-off mark as may be fixed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

d. Only candidates who are successful in the internal Pre-degree Examinations conducted by the Directorate of Pre-Degree Programmes would be considered for admission into the 100 level of the full-time degree Programmes in the University.

This is to inform you that the Niger Delta University (NDU)  Pre-degree Admission Form  is out. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the Pre-degree Programmes for 2017/2018 session. 

The Programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificates which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission to 200 level of the degrees offered by the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and Universities abroad. 

The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance 
Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificates (HSC) or IJMB. 

For admission into the Niger Delta University and o
ther JUPEB affiliate institutions, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examination for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all admission requirements prescribed

GENERAL REGULATIONS
Courses may be offered full-time or part-time. All programmes begin with coursework and end with a project for Graduate Diploma, MBA, MPA and MPAS or thesis for Master’s and Ph.D degrees.

Duration of Programme: 
For full-time studies the Postgraduate Diploma lasts for two (2) semesters. The Master’s degrees last for 4 – 6 semesters; and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes last for 6 – 10 semesters.
For part-time programmes, the Master’s degrees last for 6-8 semesters, the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) lasts for 10-16 semesters.
Note that PGD programmes run on full-time basis only.

Requirements for Admission: 
Candidates are required to have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale and 2.75 on a 4-point scale for Master’s programmes and 4.00 on a 5-point scale and 3.00 on a 4-point scale for the Ph.D programmes.

A CGPA of 1.50 and above is required for PGD programmes. Candidates with Master’s degree from recognized universities may credit the relevant courses towards the Ph.D programme, provided that the quality of the grade is acceptable to the Graduate School.

MODE OF APPLICATION

  • Interested candidates are to first log on to the website: www.unicalonline.edu.ng to download the prospectus for the complete description of available courses.
  • Thereafter, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦15,000.00 at any bank nationwide via E-Transact platform for Graduate School application form 2017/2018 academic session.
  • A printout with a unique pin will be issued at the bank.
  • Candidates will then enter their unique PIN and their mobile phone numbers on www.unicalonline.edu.ng/admissions to access the form.
  • Follow the steps by providing your data as prompted and ensure that your form is submitted. 
  • PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE TO PRINT OUT A COPY OF YOUR FORM AND CONCEPT NOTE, BY CLICKING ON PRINT button after submission. Please bring a copy of the printed form to the venue on the day of the screening.
  • Process Flow of E-Scratch Card for UNICAL Postgraduate Application; Walk into any bank across the federation and make payment on E-Transact platform to purchase Graduate School application form for 2016/2017 academic session.
  • Make a payment of ₦15,000.00 and obtain the payment slip. Go online to www.unicalonline.edu.ng/admissions
  • Log on with the generated pin on the payment slip to fill the Postgraduate form.

Note: Filling of forms – Surnames first, First name next, Middle name last. There will be no changes made after submission of application forms online. Therefore candidates must think through before submission as any change will attract a fee.
This is to prevent multiple applications. The titles Mr, Miss or Mrs may be used but not Rev(Dr), Chief, etc. Programmes applied for should be Ph.D, M.A, M.Ed, M.Sc, MPH, LLM, and PGD.

CONCEPT NOTE
As part of the application, candidates are expected to submit a CONCEPT NOTE of 2 pages maximum for Ph.D programmes and one (1) page maximum for Master’s programmes.
The concept note will be typed online in a space provided in the form and printed out for submission to the department. The concept note is a MINI SUMMARY OF RESEARCH PROPOSAL highlighting what candidates intend to research on when admitted. It will have to cover the following:

  • Statement of the problem
  • Relevance of study to self and society
  • Aim(s) of the study
  • Justification
  • Methodology
  • Brief theoretical background

Please Note: Candidates who fail to send their concept notes online along with their application forms will not be allowed to take part in the oral interview.

Candidates are to ensure that their academic transcripts are forwarded by their previous institutions through courier service to the Academic Secretary, Graduate School, University of Calabar, P.M.B. 1115, Calabar, Cross River State, ON OR BEFORE THE DEADLINE INDICATED BELOW.
ALL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE RECEIVED IN GRADUATE SCHOOL ON OR BEFORE THE SCREENING DAY being OCTOBER 20, 2017.

While Saturday 21st October, 2017 is for Masters and Ph.D candidates. The screening test will be a computer based test as follows:Part A – Written, (Use of English Language, Logic, Mathematics, ICT and General Knowledge);

Part B – Oral interview in the respective departments based on subject area/concept note for Ph.D and Master’s candidates.
There shall be No oral interview for MBA, MPAS and all PGD programmes.

This is  to in form you that the Department of Theatre and Film Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Jos has announced the sales of Admission Forms into Diploma in Theatre Arts Programme for the 2016/2017 Academic Session.

Interested candidates must possess either WASC/NECO or GCE ‘O’ LEVEL Certificate with credit passes in English Language, Literature in English and any other three Arts subjects while all applicants must prepare to attend an audition exercise.

Method of Application
  • For the Payment of Application Form, go to www.remita.net to generate an RRR
  • Click “Pay a Federal Government Agency”
  • Name of MDA – type “University of Jos”
  • Type of service/Purpose – select “APPLICATION FORMS
  • Fill other details to generate RRR then proceed to any bank Branch or any preferred channel such as internet Banking, ATM Card, e.t.c
  • Pay N5, 000.00
  • Visit mis.unijos.edu.ng to fill the online application form.
  • Select Application Form and click Proceed.
  • Select Create account and click on Diploma Programme.
  • Follow the online procedures to fill the application form.

All Application Forms should be completed online by the applicant before 25th October, 2017 and await an email and/or SMS for confirmation of successful application. On receipt of the SMS or email, the applicant should log in with his/her account details to view the completed application and print a copy for reference purpose.

Vital Notice to Ajayi Crowther University Graduates on Collection of Certificates
Management of the Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) at its meeting on Monday June 19, 2017 directed as follows:

The University Management at its meeting on Monday June 19, 2017 directed that all Ajayi Crowther University graduates who are yet to collect their certificates due to outstanding payments of fees; should settle their indebtedness on or before August 31, 2017. In the event of non-settlement, the University would take necessary action to recover its fund which may include but not limited to publication of the debtors list in the newspapers and the cancellation of the Statement of Results issued, amongst others.

Also, those without outstanding fees but who are yet to collect their certificates should do so latest by September 30, 2017 after which defaulters would be surcharged. From October 1 to October 31, 2017 defaulters would be surcharged one thousand naira (₦1000) per week until the certificates are collected. PLEASE NOTE that the Statement of Results issued would be declared invalid; after October 31, 2017.

PLEASE NOTE that henceforth all Statement of Results to be issued by the University will be valid for only one year after graduation as certificates are always ready for collection on/after Convocation Day.
